somebody should do something

About that really stale blog. Been a while since we posted anything.

This new year we have hit the ground running. Boys are now back in school, meaning Jakob & John, and Sam is at daycare. John is in an early intensive class where they cram a whole semester into one week. Regular school semester starts next week.

Mon officially started her job in December which may have been mentioned before. Not only is this a permanent job and gives us more stability, it has allowed us to bid on a modest home in Blue Ash. Home is currently bank owned which seems to be a sad but opportunistic reality today. We and the seller are finalizing the price and details, but it looks like we'll be closing in late February. We'll keep you posted.

Home needs some paint and a new kitchen but nothing extensive as our first house in Pleasant Ridge. Boy, I hope the current owner can appreciate the TLC that went into it. We'll see about this new old house in Blue Ash once we have a home inspection. It's a smaller 3 bed, 2 bath in our current school district and just blocks from the brand new rec center. Hopefully that means better physical health for all.

This isn't meant to sound like it has a breath of swagger in it, but how's your new year? Any plans this year? I just read the other day that some times we over plan what we do in one year, but we under plan what we could do in five to ten years.

Here's to long and short term planning. (Man, I must be growing up.)
