happy thanksgiving

Over the river and through the woods to Aunt Christine's we go. Another Thanksgiving at the Slade's house for us. Doesn't really make sense for us to make the full traditional meal if it's just the four of us, including two pickyish eaters. Someday we may make that dinner ourselves but for now, we are thankful to have dinner at Christine's! We will take along one of Dad's pecan pies, and maybe a pumpkin pie as well, as well as green bean casserole.

On a related thanksgiving break note - it's only been one day, but we're ready to ship the kids back to school already. Not sure what's gotten into them, but it's constant bickering and one-ups manship ALL DAY LONG. Phew. Drives Mom & Dad nuts. Certainly not in the intended spirit of the day. Let's hope it gets better.
