loveland castle

Today we visited the Loveland Castle.  http://www.lovelandcastle.com/
It is a structure above the Little Miami River that was single-handedly built by one guy.

This is "Sir" Harry Andrews, builder of the castle.

We ate lunch at a picnic table in the shade above the river.  The 80's were a welcome relief to the 100's.  It would have been a great day to canoe.  We have one and have been meaning to employ it.

Among the rocks along the river were tiny toads.  The boys wanted to bring some home.

I like the dirt and scratches on the boys' hands.  It's their station in life right now.
River seemed down a little but teeming with life.  We saw many fish and even a distinct gar in the water.
