For now, it's great to be home.

home at last
After closing on the house (finalizing the loan and sale) at the end of February, working on it a month and moving in at the end of March, we are finally home. Most things have found a place to be stored though some have not. We will get more organized over time. For the mean time, we are home. These are some preliminary shots around our humble house.
Living room. Hoping to get another chair or two in here. Pictures aren't great.
New kitchen. Thanks to Dwight and Tim, we were able to renovate the old kitchen before we moved in. It was a lot of work and we are still putting on the finishing touches but it was the kind of job that was a lot more convenient to do before moving in than after.
We have given the boys the upstairs which includes a tv area, bathroom and bedroom. Sort of like their own suite.
After selling our house on Lawndale in 2007 and moving to Sweden, and then moving back here in 2009, it really feels stabilizing to finally have our own place. The adventure was great, selling everything was liberating, the experiences, memories and relationships will always be part of us. There also comes a time when settling down is also attractive.

Almost like "for every time there is a season". Glad it's the homecoming season.
Steve
I was thinking that same thing Steve.
