fall fun

This guy showed up on our porch one day.  I think a neighbor was trying to encourage the boys however, it had unintended consequences.  We affectionately call him, "creepy clown."  For a time he would show up in random family places - book bags, trumpet cases, desk drawers.  It was a little like a slow motioned game of tag and when you found creepy clown in your stuff, you were it.  This game of course was inspired by the line in the mail commercial, "That clown's gotta go."  Creepy clown ended up in our front window with a black light under him for Halloween.  What strikes fear into the heart of children more than a creepy clown?

Speaking of Halloween, we had another block gathering to hand out candy.  We got a permit to block the street off again, gathered firepits, crock pots and bowls of candy and had a great time.  We love our neighborhood.

All three boys had the day off from school and Mon was off from work so we packed a lunch and hiked through a local forest.  It was a lot of fun despite the drizzle.  We at lunch in a shelter and saw this guy in an empty wall socket:

We left keg man there.

I hear the shrieking violins from Psycho's shower scene.
