Trench filled and covered. After thirty days for the concrete to cure the basement is ready for finishing.
Not to miss an opportunity, wet cement marks a moment in time. The kids carried Simon down to the basement after we discovered the other cat, Kitty, left a print.
Unfortunately, Simon left more than one print. No sweat - most of them will be covered anyway.
New plumbing for the washer, graduating from a drain tub. Plans call for a future laundry/utility room with a counter, sink and cabinets.
New sump pump, draining into an existing downspout.
This part of the basement used to be an under the house garage stall at one time. Dank, damp and unheated. Hoping to divide this into office space and possible guest room. The window will be an egress.
