huh?

Well, it looks like Jakob is going to get tubes in his ears. He's had noticeable problems dating back to 2006, prior to moving to Sweden. It went so far back then that we had had a surgical consult and just decided to give it time to see if it would clear up. Eventually it did but we have discovered a pattern that nearly every time Jakob gets a slight cold his ears plug up. He has failed a number of hearing tests including two "random" hearing tests at his current school. We wonder if they were really random or if perhaps someone may have prompted the school nurse. Either way, after a visit to another specialist today, it looks like the kid is getting tubes in the next week or so.
