medical

Our house has been under the weather of sorts, lately. After failing a second 'random' school hearing test, Dr's recommended tubes for Jakob's ears. They were recommended previously - like 2006, but we decided to wait and Jakob's ears cleared up. This time around we decided to go ahead and have it done. The results were immediate, though the picture below might tell a different story. Everything turned out great.
Dad got to go back with Jake and yeah, this picture looks silly.
John has also been battling a case of Shingles for a couple weeks. What he originally thought was a neck pull and some kind of scalp infection turned out to be Shingles. People say a lot of different things about, how bad it is, and how you get it. All I know is that it comes from the Chicken Pox/Mono virus, usually spreads along a nerve (in John's case either the occipital or auditory), sometimes creates searing pain, lingers, and I still need to keep up with the new school semester. Dr. prescribed anti-virals, and pain killers (for night time) which seem to help. Still, nothing beats being healthy.
